"Join us in the fight against Breast Cancer!"

Our team Be Pink is raising funds and awareness about the Susan G. Komen Foundation and breast cancer on Temple's campus.  We plan to not only raise money but also volunteer at events such as the The Susan G. Komen 3-Day, and more importantly inspire people to believe that it's the little things that make a difference.

“Focusing on abilities rather than disabilities”

Pegasus Therapeutic Riding Academy is a non-profit organization that provides therapeutic horseback riding programs, equine-assisted activities, and therapies for children and adults with physical, developmental, and intellectual disabilities. Led by qualified instructors, they provide over 100 riding lessons each week to people with disabilities, which help riders improve muscle strength, flexibility, motor skills, communication, mental focus, and self-esteem. As Philadelphia’s only full-time therapeutic riding program, this organization is actively seeking to improve the lives of both program participants and of their families.

We as a team believe that no one should feel limited in what they can and cannot do because of a disability, and this is what drove us to work with Pegasus Therapeutic Riding Academy. Our mission is to aid Pegasus in their efforts to enhance the lives of the individuals that come to the academy in any way that we can. Through raising community awareness of the organization, we hope to the increase number of lives that are positively impacted by Pegasus. Through fundraising efforts, we aim to raise donations to contribute to the academy’s scholarship program. Our team is looking forward to aiding Pegasus in their mission to improve the lives of others, but we cannot do it alone. Please help support us in our efforts.

Megan McNabb

I am a junior International Business major and Spanish minor at Temple University. I have always loved working with animals and helping others. I volunteered with many organizations including one that allowed me to work with both animals and assist individuals with disabilities. I love working in environments that are uplifting and encouraging which is why it makes me even more excited to be able to work with my team to help the Pegasus Therapeutic Riding Academy.

Jillian Forney

I am a junior International Business major at Temple University. Growing up on a farm, I have had my fair share of interactions with animals of all sorts. As a teen, I was heavily involved in my local Special Olympics organization. My past experiences have enabled me to bring the passion of helping others with me to college. I am looking forward to being able to combine my interests of helping people with a love for animals.

Abigail Gershman

I am a senior Legal Studies and Marketing major at Temple University. I have experience working with children and animals through non-profit organizations. I am very excited to learn and spread awareness about the impact animals have on the lives of children with disabilities.
