While working with Red Paw throughout the semester I have learned not only about
marketing, but also about true passion. Lori Albright, COO of Red Paw, has worked with my group and I at any chance possible despite being very busy. When speaking with her, it is evident that she truly loves what she’s doing, and is trying to make a difference. Upon our first phone call, Lori gave us more information than we knew what to do with, in regards to Red Paw.
Something that really stuck with me was the story she told of how Red Paw came about. Lori, clearly distressed, spoke to us about a fire that had occurred in center city. This fire started in the middle of the night so many were caught off guard. In this building there were two dogs and a cat. Unfortunately, this fire resulted in the death of all three animals. This incident sparked the idea of Red Paw because they never wanted to see an animal get left behind again due to lack of procedure. Red Paw has now successfully saved thousands of animals, and they intend to expand in to several different states. Their mission is to provide relief and recovery for displaced pets and their people 24/7, and to ensure all family members are taken care of during and after a disaster in their home.
